Jose Penalosa for Congressional District 4

Jose is the only Hispanic Republican who has a real chance against Ed Pastor in Congressional District 4.
How do we come to the conclusion that Jose can beat Ed Pastor? Well, let’s talk about some key points on that issue:
- Jose Penalosa can debate Ed Pastor in Spanish and in English. In order to win over the hearts and minds of Latinos, we should be able to articulate our ideas to our gente. After all, that’s what missionaries do when they share the gospel with others, and that strategy continues to work today when we want to persuade and convince others to understand why we do what we do.
- Jose is an immigration lawyer and has had his practice for over 20 years. A person who has developed his own business for that long has strong clientele and support via networking. Jose has good Latino networking to his favor. There will be thousands of Latinos who would vote for him because many of them had him as counsel. Jose has reputable immigration expertise in Ed Pastor’s own back yard. Bottom line: Jose has influence in the Hispanic community with fruits to show for it.
- Jose represents Hispanic Conservative ideals which expresses Hispanic sentiment on certain issues such as pro life, family values, and smaller government. There are thousands of CD4 Hispanics who moved to the Independent party, but they would vote for Jose based on his values and principles.
- Jose is for less taxes and smaller government. Jose can bring several Hispanic business owners to his corner because naturally they are against government taking more from their business profits in the name of tax increases and spreading their hard work and wealth to others. Most business owners have saved and worked hard to create their “nest eggs” and the government does not necessarily guarantee the small business owner that their risks will be guaranteed. Hispanic business owners understand this, and they will not freely be in support of larger government ideas.
- Jose represents true leadership. Latinos are looking for strong political leadership, and that is what Jose brings to the table. Ed Pastor is known for toeing the Democrat party line and has very little to show for his twenty years in Congress. Jose will be able to make strong and persuasive arguments against Ed Pastor in a political debate because after all….Jose is an attorney who is able to articulate his ideas very well to others. He has a natural ability to persuade others. We need this because there is a Latino and Democrat strong hold within Congressional District 4.
- Joe defeated his Republican opponent against a frivolous lawsuit she filed. Did he give up and run away? NO. He stood his ground and used the rule of law that ultimately embarrassed her and her attorney out of the court house. We do not have the cut-n-run mentality here at Somos Republicans, and we are proud of Jose for having that same fighting spirit. We need strong Conservative leadership in Washington D.C., and that is what Jose Penalosa will give us if elected.
It’s time for Hispanic Republican leadership. It’s time we support Joe for CD 4 in the upcoming primary elections.
Please send Jose Penalosa a note and offer your support.
Somos Republicans are committed to volunteering and helping his campaign. We ask our readers and our audience to spread the good news with regard to a Republican candidate we are proud of.

I take joy in getting Hispanics out of the Democrat party and registering them as Independents or as Republicans. Some Latinos are resistant in going to the Republican party, and I can’t necessarily blame them with the political climate here in Maricopa County.
